My Story
Why I created Parea & Beads
If you’ve ever traveled with me, you know I rarely come home without a new piece of jewelry.
While some people collect magnets or postcards, I’ve always collected bracelets and necklaces. Every piece reminds me of where I found it, whether it was a little shop on a cobblestone street, a seaside market, or a family-owned boutique tucked away in a village.
Every time I wear one, I’m transported back to that place. I remember the views, the food, the laughter, and the people I shared it with.
Jewelry has always been my favorite souvenir.
It doesn’t sit on a shelf collecting dust. It becomes part of everyday life, carrying memories wherever I go.
Over the years, I started bringing jewelry home for my friends and family too. I loved finding pieces that reminded me of them and sharing a little piece of my travels.
Watching someone light up when they put it on made the souvenir even more meaningful.
That’s where Parea & Beads began.
I wanted to create a place where every bracelet and necklace carries that same feeling: a little reminder of a favorite place, a special person, or a memory you’ll always want to keep close.
The Meaning of Parea
Inspired by my Greek roots.
My Greek roots run through Stoupa and Geraki.
Stoupa, Mani and Geraki, Laconia — two very different places that both feel like home. Stoupa is the sea, summer days, family, familiar faces, and memories made along the coast. Geraki is stone, mountains, village streets, tradition, and another side of my family story. Both have shaped the colors, textures, and little details that find their way into many of my designs. Parea & Beads isn’t only about Greek-inspired jewelry, but these places are a part of me, so naturally, they’re a part of what I create too.
The Greek word parea describes the feeling of being together with friends and family — sharing conversation, laughter, food, and memories. That same feeling of connection is at the heart of what I create.
